Organization Introduction

The office is undertaking public business at the same place shared with the Taoyuan County Tax Revenue Service Yangmei Branch, because affected by the limited space and inadequate hardware facility, it is not possible to provide the public with comfortable and convenient environment while coming for public business.

The office is approved by order to have an area of national land located at Taoyuan County Yangmei Township Pushin Tsaonan Slope Section No.89-5 (area 2,011 m 2 , about 608 ping s), for future office building construction, it will be a building of 2 underground floors and 3 over ground floors, and has been scheduled to start planning and design in 2006, construction in 2007, look forward to the construction completion and using of new office will not only bring to jurisdiction people with novel, quick and effective space for public business, but also will enhance civil service quality and function of the office on the whole, thus to open up Yangmei Office's new era of continuous service to home town people!

II. Service Jurisdiction and Local Characteristics

The office service area covers Yangmei Township and Shinwu Township, key statistics data are as below:

1. Land Area: about 174.14 Km 2 (Yangmei Township: 89.12 Km 2 , Shinwu Township: 85.02 Km 2 ).

2. Population: about 189,030 persons （Yangmei Township: 139,154 persons, Shinwu Township: 49,876 persons）, Residence: 56,250 households.

3. Business company units: 7,306.

1. Take Hsinchu Bus or Taoyuan Bus to Yangmei Elementary School bus stop, then work for 5 ～ 10 minutes to arrive at the office.

2. Take railway shuttle train（EMU） to Yangmei Railway Station, and then work along Dachen Road to Jhongshan Road （Zong-Guan Highway） for about 15 minutes to arrive at the office.

3. Drive through Jhongshan Freeway and get off at Yangmei Interchange, along Jhongshan Road southbound, pass by Taoyuan County Police Bureau Yangmei Branch, Dachen Road intersection to arrive at the office.

The office actively cooperates with National Tax Administration of Northern Taiwan Province , Ministry of Finance to promote all kinds of civil service measures, delicates to construct a comfortable and convenient environment for public business; also the office was honored by National Tax Administration of Northern Taiwan Province , Ministry of Finance as the 3 rd place of Tax Administration Office 2 nd Groups on Service Quality Awards.

In accordance with the letter from National Tax Administration of Northern Taiwan Province , Ministry of Finance about the " Action Plan for Building an English Living Environment " regulations issued by the Research, Development, and Evaluation Commission, Executive Yuan, to make relevant bilingual signs thus to enhance service dimension.

3. Up to June 30 th this year（2006）, the office has held 15 tax seminars with 1069 attendants; 16 tax introduction events with 33,267 attendants.
